"Because You Loved Me"

Bo's Gift to his Rainbow Bridge Friends

Bo wants to give this "gift" to all his Bridgefriends so that their mommy/daddy can put this at their site to always remind them that "Because You Loved Me" my spirit lives on and my love will continue in those that I have left behind. So if you have a special "Bridgekid" who lives at the Bridge with me, you can take this "gift." Please let my mommy know so she can list you as a receiver of my "gift" You do not have to have your furbaby on the Rainbow Angel pages to receieve Bo's "gift"

When a furbaby dies, a cloud turns into
an angel, and flies up to tell God
to put another flower on a pillow.
A bird gives the message back to
the world, and sings a silent prayer that
makes the rain cry. Furbabies disappear
but they never really go away.
The spirits up there put the sun to
bed, wake up grass, and spin the earth
in dizzy circles. Sometimes you can see our
Rainbow Angels dancing in a cloud during
the day-time, when they're supposed
to be sleeping. They paint the rainbows
and also the sunsets and make
waves splash and tug at the tide.
They toss shooting stars and listen to
wishes. And when they sing windsongs,
they whisper to us, don't miss
me too much. The view is nice
and I'm doing just fine.

The human version of this poem was sent to me by my daughter in honor of Bo's first anniversary at Rainbow Bridge on Oct 11, 1999.

This poem was also sent to me in a card from another Bridgemom named Pat during one of my sad times missing Bo. She had lost her baby Sambo as well.
